Power-Link Technologies (PLT) has a dedicated team with extended experience in the renewable energy industry, having worked mainly with solar, wind, battery system, smart grid system, and EV charger systems. We provide engineering, installation and commissioning services for solar farms, wind farms, BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems), smart grid systems and EV charger systems.

We understand developing a renewable application faces many challenges, from environmental concerns of the selected site, to special requirements from local utilities, distribution/transmission line hosting capacity limits, local county permits, and more. Power-Link Technologies provides a full front-end feasibility study by proposing the optimal site layout and protection SLD; conducting initial environmental assessment to identify any potential environmental concerns/challenges; performing line hosting capacity check to ensure no major utility line upgrade; development major equipment and protection specifications to ensure compliance to the requirements from local utility (or AESO in Alberta); and investigating other potential permit requirements. Our feasibility study will also estimate the project cost with a detailed cost breakdown, financial return estimates, and propose timelines with major milestones identified. The final feasibility study report can be used as a  guideline for subsequent detail engineering and development.

Our service covers collector substation design, utility interconnection facility design, field cabling system design, solar racking system and panel layout design, BESS site layout design, DC system design, solar string design, grounding and bonding design, P&C design, revenue metering design, and SCADA system design. Power-Link Technologies is also specialized in conducting the required studies to back up the above designs, such as load flow analysis, cable ampacity study, voltage drop calculation, reactive power flow study, short circuit study, effective grounding study, protection coordination study, arc flash study, etc. PLT also provides full support to help our clients navigate the process for utility applications (AESO in Alberta) and environment applications (AUC in Alberta).
